The origin of each piece

Ketevan Studio was born from the need to transform memory, history, and the body into wearable objects. Each piece is the result of an artistic process in which cultural research and personal experience converge, shaping jewelry that functions as small sculptures.

Art, memory, and form

The pieces of Ketevan Studio are inspired by forms from Georgian culture, particularly the ancient Georgian alphabet, with over fifteen hundred years of documented history. This work acts as a symbolic act of excavation: rescuing signs that once served to communicate and transforming them into objects that now represent distance, identity, and the unknown.

Each jewel is handmade in high-fired ceramic and, in some cases, combined with sterling silver. Slight variations in shape and color are not imperfections, but an essential part of the handcrafted process and the uniqueness of each piece.

The artist

Ketevan Gvinepadze is a visual artist and conceptual photographer, born in Tbilisi, Georgia, and currently based in Barcelona. Her artistic practice is grounded in research on gender, identity, and politics, developing a visual language that blends autobiographical narratives with the recent history of the post-Soviet period.

At Ketevan Studio, this research is translated into the field of jewelry, where each piece functions as an extension of her artistic practice. The jewelry is not conceived merely as decorative objects, but as carriers of meaning, memory, and bodily presence.
